Education on caring for and respecting the environment
Selwo Costa del Sol's Education Department provides a complete educational programme at Selwo Marina, based on the main objective of a modern animal zoo, namely to show schoolchildren the different species it houses, the importance of preserving their natural habitats, as well as raising awareness of the threats they face and the importance of conservation, all the while promoting respect for the environment.
School Programme
The Selwo Marina school programme offers various options for school visits that always include a tour of all the habitats in the park so that students can learn about the characteristic species that make up the marine and rainforest wildlife that we have in our facilities, the Dolphin Educational Talk and the Exotic Bird Presentation.
During their visit, they will also learn about our four species of penguins, different species that are native to the Amazon and the Tropics, squirrel monkeys, flamingos, caimans and sea lions. The school programme also offers other visit options, including an environmental awareness workshop.
