The Penguin Encounter is a unique experience to get to know a large family formed by the King, Juanito, Macaroni and Magellanic penguin species, surprising you with details about their biology and diet; raising awareness about the dangers they face in their natural environment, such as climate change, melting ice, overfishing or plastic pollution; and learning what each of us can do to protect them and help in their conservation.

During the activity you will enter the habitat of these incredible birds, accompanied by our monitor who will explain everything you need to know about the penguins that live on the Ice Island: their diet, how long they live, their reproduction... very interesting talks focused on the care and preservation of the environment, everything that is in our power to take care of our planet and all the species that inhabit it. You will also learn the main characteristics and how to distinguish the 4 types of penguins that live in Selwo Marina.

Online Purchase Conditions:

When you purchase your Penguin Encounter online, the date of the activity will be reserved at the same time as the purchase. The purchase of a Penguin Encounter does not include admission to Selwo Marina, which must be purchased separately in order to be able to take part in the activity. Children under 3 years of age have free admission to the park, but must book and pay for their place to participate in the Unique Animal Interaction Experiences. Before purchasing the activity online, make sure that all visitors are able to participate: check all the terms and conditions for participating in the Penguin Encounter and regarding the taking of photos and videos during interactive experiences. Children between 2 and 6 years old must be accompanied by an adult (minimum 18 years old and maximum two children per adult). In this case, the adult must buy a ticket for the Penguin Encounter together with the child. Activity not permitted for pregnant women.
