Native to South and Southeast Asia, and South and North Australia, the Ficus Benjamina is a botanical species of fig tree that can reach up to 30 metres in height in natural conditions, with graceful pendulous branches and thick, 6-13 cm long, oval, acuminate-tipped leaves. In its native habitats, its small fruit is the favourite food of many birds.
The Ficus Benjamina is the official tree of Bangkok, Thailand.
