The tropical rainforest is one of the most important ecosystems on the planet, both in terms of species and vegetation. The Tropics aviary is home to a range of species, such as the White-faced Saki, a primate that is native to Asia and whose male has a striking white mantle around its face, birds like the Scarlet Ibis, with its colourful beak and stylish shape, named after the shade of its plumage, the colourful Chestnut-eared Aracari or reptiles, such as the Green Iguana, whose skin colour allows it to mimic, i.e. blend in with, the vegetation in order to go unnoticed.
Tropical ecosystems are located in the regions within the Tropic of Cancer, both above and below the Equator. Located in Africa, Asia, Oceania, Central and South America, they include the Amazon, the largest tropical rainforest on the planet.
